| Looking over the writeup: La-Z-Link he uses a high-amp relay, instead of connecting the high beam power directly to the high beam connection on the light. I assume that this is because the headlamp circuit is not heavy duty enough to supply power to both the highs and lows at the same time. However, 2 points: the HIDs draw less current than a standard low beam, and many people have wired their stock headlights so that both high and low beams come on at the same time for more light. It seems to me that the relay isn't necessary, and that the easy solution is to just buy two male connectors with pigtails per side (9005 and 9006, total cost $25) and splice those into the headlight side, so that they plug directly into the stock wiring harness. I assume that this is what czp does, since the installation of their lights doesn't require running a new wire from the battery (correct me if i'm wrong). i'll take a look at a friend's setup who has their setup and see if i'm right.
